Bathtub or Shower Resurfacing

Bathtub and shower resurfacing is the process of refreshing the surface of a worn, damaged bathtub or stand-in shower to a like-new condition. First in this process, chips or cracks are repaired using Bondo. After repairs are made, the surface is prepped. Porcelain, enamel, and fiberglass tubs and the like are non-porous and are therefore often difficult for the new coating to attach itself to. Etching the surface will allow proper adhesion.

After preparing the surface and prior to spraying any chemical coatings, the area is masked off completely to protect Griffin Restoration and their clients.

After spraying is complete, the masking is removed, and a new caulk line is installed.

Coatings used by Griffin Restoration to create a new bathtub or shower finish are epoxies. These coatings may be rolled, brushed, or sprayed on.

Tile Surround Resurfacing

Tile surround resurfacing is similar to that of bathtub + shower resurfacing. Identical measures are taken to ensure a protective environment throughout the restoration processes, and a like-new appearance is always the end result.

Just as above: First in this process, the shower surround is prepped. After preparing the surface and prior to spraying any chemical coatings, the area is masked off completely to protect Griffin Restoration and their clients.

After spraying is complete, the masking is removed, and a new caulk line is installed.
